This year thousands of votes were cast for our Richard L. Swanson Inspiration Award finalists. And with 32% of the total votes, we are excited to announce that our national winner is:

Barbara M., Age 66, Kettering, OH – Anthem

Barbara is a firm believer that physical health is connected to mental health, and she exercises regularly to keep her body and mind in shape. An avid runner, Barbara made it her goal to run her first half marathon at age 62. After training for six months, she accomplished her goal. Barbara recently retired and still competes in 4K and 5K races. Through SilverSneakers, she continues to exercise to keep her heart healthy, and her doctor is constantly encouraging her to keep it up!
